Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova believes it is time for US President Joe Biden to put together an international coalition to “liberate” the people of Texas.
According to Zakharova, the White House host should have taken such a step in the name of preserving democracy.
“It is high time for the American president, in the best traditions of his predecessor Obama, to declare Texas must go and gather an international coalition to liberate its residents in the name of democracy,” Maria Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.
Earlier, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced his intention to protect the state from illegal migrants, bypassing approval from federal authorities and US President Joe Biden. According to various US media reports, the Biden administration gave Abbott an ultimatum demanding that within 24 hours he cease self-rule at the border and obey the White House’s demands.
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitriy Medvedev believes that the administration of US President Joe Biden has demonstrated a complete inability to deal with the migration crisis and said that the formation of a Texas People’s Republic is increasingly realistic.
