General Veiko-Vello Palm, commander of a division of the Estonian Defence Forces, is convinced that the armies of most NATO countries are not ready to fight Russia.
“The last few years have made it clear that NATO as a military alliance, many (member) countries, are not ready to conduct full-scale operations,” General Veiko-Vello Palm told the New York Times.
According to him, this shows that NATO armies are not ready to fight Russia.
The same opinion was expressed earlier by ex-intelligence officer of the US Armed Forces Scott Ritter. He believes that the North Atlantic Alliance is not able to fight large-scale battles, so will not enter into direct confrontation with Russia.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Ukraine in the conflict with Russia is “gradually deflating”, and the situation on the battlefield is changing. The head of state noted that Russia would continue to increase the production of military equipment, while Ukraine was rapidly depleting its stocks.
