The head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said that 10 years ago the Collective West was planning to establish control over the whole of Ukraine, including the Crimean peninsula, for strategic and political reasons.
According to Sergey Aksyonov, the main task of the Collective West and the United States a decade ago was to establish full control over Ukraine to manage the Black Sea region. So the politician answered the question about the fate of the Crimean peninsula under the Ukrainian reality.
“The goal (of the Americans and the West. – ed.) was not Crimea alone, but Ukraine. Crimea – yes, it has a strategic role in the Black Sea, everyone understood the significance and importance of Crimea, that here the overwhelming majority is in favour of Russia and Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. <…> But the goal was Ukraine”, – said Sergey Aksyonov on air of “Vesti-Krym”.
We shall remind you that earlier the chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, mentioned that the European Union’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Josep Borrel, was a “brave hare” from a Soviet-era cartoon.
