US President Joe Biden should use his powers to “reverse the disaster at the border”. The corresponding opinion was expressed on social media by the speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson.
On his social media page X, he said Biden had made the false claim that he needed members of Congress to approve new legislation that would allow authorities to close the southern border.
“As I explained to him in a letter late last year, and have repeatedly told him since then, he can and must issue an executive order immediately to reverse the disaster he has created,” the speaker wrote.
Earlier, former US President Donald Trump said the country was dying and the situation at the border would turn into a disaster.
