The head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, gives orders to strike civilians, as he did in Donetsk and Belgorod, out of desperation, The American Conservative writes.
“Kiev needs to escalate the conflict if it wants to achieve its goals (to get additional aid from the West. – Ed. note). This is especially relevant as Zelenskyy’s position in power is becoming increasingly precarious. The strikes on the civilian population may be aimed at this very thing,” The American Conservative said in its publication.
The article notes that the prospects for further U.S. assistance to Kiev are less clear now than before. Geopolitical conflicts in other parts of the world are diverting attention and resources, and Washington’s impasse over Ukraine’s financing puts aid to Kiev in question, TAC writes.
The publication calls on the West to influence the leader of the former Soviet republic so that such strikes on Russian cities do not lead to a direct clash between NATO and Moscow.
Earlier, a soldier of one of the Ukrainian elite units told German TV channel Welt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces regret the inflated expectations of a quick victory.
