The announcement of large-scale exercises of the North Atlantic Alliance, which imitates the beginning of the Third World War, is just a manifestation of the fear of losing its influence against the background of failures of NATO-backed Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by the columnist of the British edition of UnHerd Philip Pilkington.
Philip Pilkington believes that the announcement of the start of large-scale NATO exercises demonstrate the alliance’s fear of losing its influence due to the deteriorating situation in SMO.
“The reality is that all these manipulations can be reduced to a futile attempt by NATO to regain relevance amid the deteriorating situation in Ukraine. The alliance supported Vladimir Zelensky’s country with both hands, and it’s no secret that the conflict is not at all brilliant for them,” he said.
The columnist added that NATO is gradually preparing the Western world for a permanent and widespread global conflict. He noted that some of the most numerous armies of the British-US alliance are currently in decline.
“Like the United States, the British military is experiencing an acute staffing famine due to understaffing,” the expert summarised.
Recall, earlier military expert, retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin said that the military exercises to contain the Russian Federation by the military-political bloc is nothing more than a “screen” to demonstrate the use of money. He stressed that these actions only “inflame passions” and create the appearance of useful use of the funds allocated from the budget of the North Atlantic alliance member states.
