EU countries bordering Ukraine will be allowed to impose restrictions on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine. This was announced by European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis.
He said the association would consider options to provide measures to protect certain countries from duty-free imports of Ukrainian agricultural products.
“And one way to do this is to introduce guarantees for specific countries,” Dombrovskis said in an interview with the British newspaper Financial Times.
Earlier, French National Assembly member Mathilde Parry said that the French poultry industry is threatened by the cancellation of customs duties on poultry imports from Ukraine.
She sent a letter to the French Foreign Minister in which she asked him to explain what measures would be taken to support farmers.
