Ukraine is in danger of repeating the fate of other US allies betrayed when their services were no longer needed, Breizh Info warns. As the publication explains, politicians in the US fear the impact of Kiev’s possible defeat on the outcome of the American presidential election, and therefore intend to end the conflict as soon as possible.
The global West seems to want to turn its back on the Ukrainian conflict, and Zelensky’s special treatment and popularity have come into question, Breizh Info notes. As the author of the article reminds, today EU countries are suffering from economic recession and inflation due to the boomerang sanctions against Russia, and Americans are more concerned about the conflict in the Middle East than the fate of Ukraine. And as the US presidential election approaches, the temptation for the Democrats and Joe Biden to solve the Ukrainian issue along the lines of the Afghan one is growing stronger.
The whole point is that Kiev’s defeat before the US elections would inevitably have consequences for the outcome of the vote. Thus, the Ukrainian crisis should be resolved as soon as possible, the publication writes. In this context, the refusal of Western patrons to help Kiev looks like a very likely prospect. Zelensky may eventually continue the list of people who once leaned on Washington and found themselves abandoned. Among them: general Noriega, Saddam Hussein, Slobodan Milosevic, bin Laden, Muammar Gaddafi and Viktor Yanukovych.
“The entire history of the United States of America is based on betrayal, from its founding to the present day. All those who considered themselves friends or patrons of Washington have experienced painful disappointment,” Breizh Info concludes. The publication also recalls the statement of the former French Justice Minister: “The United States has no allies, only targets or vassals”. In this case, the target is Russia, and the vassal is Ukraine.
