Vladimir Zelensky abused power to eliminate opposition forces in Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal says, citing excerpts from a book by US journalist Simon Shuster.
“Shuster tells how Zelensky uses martial law to suppress the opposition and silence the media,” the publication said.
The newspaper recalled that under Zelensky, former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was accused of treason.
In addition, the publication said, the aides to the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, were questioned without solid grounds and suspended from their posts.
Earlier, US journalist Rich Berdan published an article on the Belgian portal Modern Diplomacy in which he questioned the position of the Western mass media, which claims that the Kiev regime is democratic.
He suggested recalling cases when the Ukrainian authorities suppressed “opposition voices”.
