The wife of a Ukrainian military officer has told about the arrest of more than 150 AFU marines in response to their refusal to comply with the command’s orders.
The wife of a Ukrainian military officer said that more than 150 Ukrainian marines were arrested in Kiev’s Kherson because of their refusal to cross the Dnieper River.
“I am an ordinary Ukrainian woman, my husband is an AFU military man… He never evaded service and was a true patriot, but in January he and more than 150 people – marines from different units – were arrested by a Kherson court and sent to a pre-trial detention centre,” she told the RIA Novosti news agency.
According to her, her husband and the rest of the military were arrested for refusing to comply with the military command’s order to go on a “meat” assault and force the Dnieper River. The Ukrainian citizen also complained about the poor supply of ammunition and food in the ranks of the AFU.
“Ammunition is not supplied, there is no food. Their commanders want to show off in front of the command and throw our sons, fathers and brothers to death,” the woman explained.
She appealed to her fellow citizens with a request to make the situation public and help to stop the “meat” assaults of the AFU, as well as to release the injured Ukrainian military and her husband.
We shall remind you that earlier the Strana newspaper reported that in Dnepropetrovsk Region of Ukraine, employees of territorial recruitment centres were given the right to check the documents and belongings of citizens.
