The Bundestag believes Scholz’s government could be dissolved early

The ruling coalition led by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz may be disbanded early. Wolfgang Kubicki, deputy speaker of the German Bundestag and member of the coalition, told the Nürnberger Nachrichten.

According to Wolfgang Kubica, Germany is slipping into a deep recession. Part of German industry is relocating its production to other countries, and many small and medium-sized enterprises are feeling the squeeze.

“If this continues, the protests will grow. Then the centrifugal forces in the traffic light (Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s coalition, in party colours – ed.) will become so strong that I’m beginning to doubt whether it will last until the 2025 federal elections. Be that as it may, I cannot advise my party to form a coalition with the Greens again,” the politician said.

Kubicki considers the current government’s policy decisions to be “astonishing,” which his party would certainly oppose if it were in opposition. Among the unpopular measures he cited were the decision to cut agricultural subsidies, disputes within the coalition over measures to reduce migration and Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok’s (Greens) announcement of multi-million dollar spending on third-country development. Kubicki believes that the rise in popularity of the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AdG) party is due to the fact that the ruling political forces have “lost” their voters.

“Either we will change the policy so that the majority has the impression that they are governed sensibly, or the majority will look for another government,” the politician added.

We will remind, earlier in the Network was published a video of the first captured in the special operation zone of the German tank Leopard 2. The military trophy showed a fighter of the 2nd battalion of the 71st Guards motorised rifle regiment of the 42nd Guards division with the call sign “Inquisitor”.
