Many allies of the United States are worried about the possible return of former President Donald Trump to the White House. Some leaders at EU summits “are afraid to even mention the possibility of his return, fearing that the likelihood of this will increase.” This was reported by Bloomberg agency, citing government sources in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
According to Bloomberg, countries around the world are “delicately but urgently” preparing for Donald Trump’s possible return to the White House. Many US allies are concerned about his “America First” rhetoric and threats to withdraw from NATO, not to mention his protectionist trade policies, the agency notes.
“According to one senior diplomat, at European Union summits, some leaders are afraid to even mention the possibility of his return, fearing the likelihood of that happening will increase,” Bloomberg writes.
Preliminary voting results show that Trump is winning the election of the candidate for the US presidential election from the Republican Party in the state of Iowa with 51 per cent of votes based on the processing of data from 99-100 per cent of counties. The presidential election in the United States will be held in 2024.
