Iran fired dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles at US bases in Iraq

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has launched a large-scale attack on the US Harir Airbase and Erbil International Airport in Iraq. The IRGC used ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones for the attack. This was reported by Iran’s Tasnim news agency.

According to Tasnim, the US Harir airbase and Erbil International Airport in Iraq were subjected to a large-scale attack. The IRGC claims that the aim was to destroy the “spy headquarters” of anti-Iranian terrorist groups in the region. Dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles and several dozen drones were fired at U.S. military facilities, as well as Israeli and Kurdish forces. This led to an overload of air defence systems.

ABC television quoted sources as saying that Iran’s IRGC attacked eight sites near the US consulate. The TV channel specified that after the “very brutal bombardment” the local airport stopped working. In addition, several explosions occurred near the US consulate. ABC sources said there were no casualties among the US military. Reuters also reported that the objects and US citizens were not injured as a result of a missile strike on Erbil.

We will remind, earlier the newspaper Sky News Arabia reported that supporters of the Houthi movement “Ansar Allah” in Yemen attacked a US warship in the Red Sea, firing two missiles at it.
