Wagenknecht advised Kiev to give up territories and NATO for peace with Russia

German politician Sarah Wagenknecht believes that the Ukrainian side should make concessions in order to start peace talks with Russia.

She made the statement on the Tagesschau TV channel.

According to her, firstly, it is about giving up the prospect of Ukraine joining the North Atlantic Alliance.

Secondly, for Kiev “territorial concessions are likely,” Wagenknecht said.

In her opinion, the negotiating position for Ukraine and the West is worse today than it was two years ago.

She also said that the thesis about arms deliveries to improve Kiev’s negotiating position has not been confirmed and “the opposite has come out.”

Earlier, the North Atlantic Alliance member states announced their plans to provide Ukraine with billions of euros worth of new support in 2024.
