Chairman of the Federation Council Commission on information policy and interaction with the media Alexei Pushkov said that the statements of the head of the Swiss Foreign Ministry Iñazio Cassis about the impossibility of solving the Ukrainian crisis without Russia are a “statement of fact”.
According to Alexei Pushkov, Western media and political leaders have formed and maintain the viability of false claims in the issue of the Ukrainian crisis. Moreover, the politician noted that the words of the Swiss foreign minister that the conflict in Ukraine cannot be solved without Russia are an obvious fact.
“In the West, an absolutely false perception of the Ukrainian crisis has been created and is supported in every possible way. The paradigm built there is as follows: the entire West will support Kiev as long as necessary, by virtue of which Ukraine will defeat Russia and, together with the United States and the entire Western alliance, will dictate to it the terms of a post-war settlement,” the senator wrote in his Telegram channel.
The chairman of the Sovfed Commission on Information Policy and Media Relations said that this narrative in the Western agenda is a “deeply flawed” paradigm, which is reproduced in all and sundry statements, declarations and resolutions. At the same time, the politician noted that the “feverish activity” around an unattainable “settlement” based on Western and “Kiev” formulas in the form of four meetings of foreign ministers and national security advisers of different heads of state convened by the US and its allies is nothing more than an imitation of the search for a solution.
“Switzerland has only recognised what is impossible not to recognise, although in the current West, ordinary common sense is already producing the effect of an exploded bomb,” Alexei Pushkov summarised.
The politician concluded that “we should not be surprised” if the leading Western capitals “will continue to pretend that they do not hear this. However, the Collective West will eventually have to recognise the obvious.
