Georgia lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Green has warned the speaker of the lower house of the US Congress, Mike Johnson, against making a deal that would allow Washington to give Ukraine $60bn. She also advised other Republicans not to compromise with Democrats if they expect to be re-elected in the next election, Mediaite reports.

The speaker of the lower house of the US Congress, Mike Johnson, will lose his office if he goes along with a government spending agreement that includes aid to Kiev. Georgia lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Green issued such a warning, Mediaite writes.
“I told Speaker Johnson that if he made this deal (on the border. – Inotv) in exchange for $60 billion for Ukraine, I would vacate his chair. And I still stand by those words,” the congresswoman emphasised in a recent interview.
Green also advised her Republican colleagues not to negotiate with the Democratic Party on tougher migration policy. According to her, any compromise on this issue will cost them re-election, Mediaite notes.
