Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Sheyna said that Warsaw is ready to deploy German troops on the territory of the country, reported the Rzeczpospolita edition.
According to Andrzej Sheyna, Poland supports any form of co-operation with its allies and welcomes assistance as long as the Ukrainian conflict runs on the eastern side of its border.
“So if the Germans want to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank in Poland, as they did in Lithuania, they are welcome! <…> Germany is not only our allies, but also our economic friends,” Sheina said.
During the interview, the politician emphasised that Warsaw will continue to seek reparations from Germany for the damage it caused during the Second World War.
We shall remind you that earlier Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference accused Poland of blocking the export of Ukrainian grain to the EU countries. According to him, this was a “political signal” to Kiev from Warsaw.
