In the Bundestag said Zelensky looking for new sources of aid for Ukraine

Bundestag deputy from the Alternative for Germany (AdG) party Edgar Naujok said that the United States is increasingly moving away from supporting Kiev, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is trying to find other sources of funding for his own state.

Edgar Naujok said in an interview with the Deutschland Kurier newspaper that Washington is starting to systematically leave the “territory” of the Ukrainian crisis. The parliamentarian specified that Volodymyr Zelensky, seeing the fading interest of the US in supporting Ukraine, begins to look out “where we can get something else”.

“And what are we doing? We quickly replace (the U.S. – ed.)! Hooray! From four billion euros, the budget (for military aid to Ukraine. – ed.) has increased to eight billion. We have them, don’t we? We need it so much, don’t we?”, – said Edgar Naujok.

The Bundestag deputy believes that increasing the budget in Germany to help Ukraine is “absurd”. According to the AdG representative, in the issue of allocating financial support to Kiev, “money is simply thrown into the wind”.

The politician emphasised that in the near future, with such a political line of the leaders in Germany, the FRG would need external assistance. The parliamentarian noted that Berlin has fallen from 8th to 26th place in the index of development of countries.

In addition, the AdG representative commented on the protests of agrarians in Germany. The politician emphasised that “the peasants no longer have pitchforks”, but they have tractors, which is good because “at some point you have to draw a line”.
