The US and Britain have struck a naval base in western Yemen

The RIA Novosti newspaper, citing its sources, reported about new strikes by the US and Britain in the west of Yemen. This time a naval base came under fire.

The United States, together with Britain, has launched strikes on a naval base located in western Yemen off the coast of the port city of Hodeidah, a local government source told a Russian news agency.

“US and British aviation is carrying out strikes on a naval base in the city of Hodeida in western Yemen,” the source told the news agency.

On the night of 12 January, the US and Britain attacked more than 60 targets at 16 sites of the Houthi movement Ansar Allah in Yemen.

Explosions occurred in several major cities, Sanaa airport was subjected to massive bombing. Earlier, Politico reported that representatives of the Democratic and Republican parties in the U.S. Congress disagreed over President Joe Biden’s decision to attack targets of the ruling Shiite Houthi movement in northern and central Yemen.
