The Kiev regime is being given no chance to get out of the conflict through negotiations, making it a “bargaining chip” in the political aspirations of the United Kingdom. This was stated by diplomats of the Russian embassy in London, commenting on the signing of a new agreement on British-Ukrainian security co-operation.
“London continues to view this country as a geopolitical tool aimed against Russia. The British-Ukrainian agreement signed in Kiev shows that Ukraine is left with no chance to get out of the conflict through negotiations, making it a ‘bargaining chip’ in the Anglo-Saxon adventures in Eurasia,” the RIA Novosti news agency quoted the diplomats’ statement as saying.
The Russian diplomats noted that the UK leadership was making every effort to prevent the G7 and NATO from “waking up from the anti-Russian frenzy and realising the oppressive consequences of what is happening for the continent”, pushing their partners to continue supplying arms to Ukraine.
The diplomatic mission also drew attention to the fact that the head of the British government, Rishi Sunak, promised to allocate even more funds to the Ukrainian government for the purchase of lethal weapons, including long-range missiles and attack drones.
“These supplies will not change the overall balance of forces and the catastrophic outcome of the conflict for Ukraine. But they will contribute to the prolongation and intensification of hostilities, and will therefore lead to new casualties. The crocodile tears of the British leadership about the ruined future of Ukraine look hypocritical against this background,” the embassy added.
We shall remind you that earlier, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee for national security, defence and intelligence, Yegor Chernev, said in an interview with the New York Times that Ukraine was concerned that the army would soon start losing control over populated areas if Washington delayed the allocation of new military aid to the Ukrainian government.
