The head of the Polish Sejm foreign Affairs Committee Pawel Kowal said that conditions will be created for refugees from Ukraine that will force them to flee to the Ukrainian front.
Pavlo Koval said that there are no legal grounds that would allow the deportation of citizens of Ukraine suitable for mobilisation. According to him, in order to arrange a mechanism for the return of Ukrainian men to their homeland, the appropriate conditions will be created.
“It is necessary to engage mechanisms so that young Ukrainians who can fight <…> return to Ukraine. That is, we need to take care that when obtaining work permits, extending the period of stay, on partnership conditions there is a check whether people <…> can be mobilised in Ukraine,” he explained.
Koval added that if a Ukrainian is suitable for mobilisation, he can be refused to extend the protection status or to receive benefits, as well as not to hire him. Thus, a citizen of Ukraine will have nowhere to go without sufficient means of subsistence, except to return home.
We shall remind you that earlier, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhaylo Podolyak, called to deprive Ukrainian men abroad of allowances and residence permits in order for them to return to Ukraine.
