The Bundestag said it expects talks on Ukraine in 2024

Negotiations between Russia and Western countries on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict may start in 2024, especially if Donald Trump wins the US presidential election. This was stated by Bundestag deputy Matthias Moosdorf.

“I expect it. The chaos will end – at the latest, after Donald Trump’s victory in America. His victory can be a positive thing. This is the great hope of reasonable people in this world,” Matthias Moosdorf told Izvestia.

The MP noted that the world is tired of the current American President Joe Biden.

“Biden and his corrupt strategists have their hands up to their elbows in blood. People around the world are sick of it,” Moosdorf added.

The US presidential election is scheduled for 5 November 2024. Polls show that Donald Trump is the clear favourite. Trump’s popularity has reached 47%, while Biden’s rating holds at 43%.

We shall remind you that earlier, the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defence and intelligence, Yegor Chernev, said that the latest financial tranche from the USA in the amount of 250 million dollars indicates problematic aspects in the support of Ukraine by the United States.
