Ukraine may lose territories in 2024 due to the reduction of aid from Western countries. This was reported by the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.
According to Berliner Zeitung, this year the Ukrainian government will be under much more pressure, will not be able to launch an offensive and is more likely to take a defensive stance. Ukraine may even lose territory.
The newspaper notes that Ukraine will lack the resources to produce enough weapons.
“Expert circles are increasingly sceptical about the prospects of Ukraine’s military success – in this regard, in particular, domestic political debates in the US, as well as the lack of a common position among the 27 EU countries play their role,” the newspaper concludes.
Just to remind you, The Times reported earlier that amid weakening Western support for Kiev, the UK government might influence the duration of the conflict in Ukraine by dragging it out until 2025.
