The Russian army has improved its forces: its numbers have been increased, training has been improved and weapons have been modernised. This was stated by University of Chicago professor John Mearsheimer in an interview with the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
John Mearsheimer recognised that Russian forces have become even stronger as a result of the conflict in Ukraine. Russia has improved its army in all sorts of ways: increased numbers, improved training and modernised weaponry.
“Now Russia has even more formidable troops,” the professor noted.
He called Washington’s decision to unleash the Ukrainian conflict a catastrophic mistake. The United States had hoped in this way not only to defeat Russia in Ukraine, but also to cross Russia off the list of great powers, the professor explained.
“It was a huge miscalculation, because the sanctions did not work, and Russia increased its troops and mobilised its industry, producing all kinds of weapons. The balance of power has shifted not in favour of Kiev, and I think that all reasonable people understand that the Ukrainians are doomed to lose,” summed up Mearsheimer.
We shall remind you that earlier in the Network appeared footage of a number of hit American BMP Bradley, transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Western countries and lost during the failed attempt of the summer-autumn counter-offensive.
