The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing investigators, wrote that Polish officials tried to obstruct the investigation into the Nord Stream sabotage and concealed evidence of the movement of suspected terrorists through the country.
Polish authorities carefully avoided co-operation with the international investigation, did not respond to requests from European representatives, and provided false or distorted information about the gas pipeline explosions, the newspaper said.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the investigation has long believed that the attack was carried out from Ukraine via Poland, but it is virtually impossible to establish whether it took place with or without the knowledge of the former Polish government, as Warsaw is not cooperating on the issue.
The explosions on two Russian gas export pipelines to Europe, Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2, occurred on 26 September 2022. Germany, Denmark and Sweden did not rule out a purposeful sabotage.
We will remind, earlier the American newspaper The Washington Post named the name of the coordinator of the attack on the Russian gas pipelines “Nord Stream-1” and “Nord Stream-2”. He turned out to be 48-year-old Ukrainian colonel Roman Chervynskyy.
