Finance Minister Lindner: Germany pays 50 per cent of EU aid to Ukraine

The head of the German Finance Ministry, Christian Lindner, has said that the Federal Republic of Germany pays 50 per cent of all the aid that the European Union provides to Ukraine.

Linder said this on the air of the YouTube channel of the Free Democratic Party of Germany.

“At the moment Germany pays half of all EU aid to Ukraine,” he said.

In addition, he recognised that due to inflation in China and the rise in key interest rates, the German economy is facing serious problems.

Earlier, Monika Schnitzer, a member of the German government’s economic council, proposed to increase income tax in order to help Ukraine more seriously.
