Habertürk: a mine hit fishing nets in a Turkish port on the Black Sea

A landmine hit a fishing net near Turkey’s Ereğli port in Zonguldak province on the Black Sea, Habertürk TV reported.

The fishermen found a round object in the nets, and when they brought it to the shore, they realised it was a mine. They notified the coastguard of the discovery.

Divers from Istanbul came to the port and helped to extract the mine to the shore, now it should be taken to a special site for controlled detonation.

Earlier it was reported that a Panama-flagged bulk carrier exploded on a mine in the Black Sea.
