Stoltenberg convenes NATO-Ukraine Council on 10 January

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is convening a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council on 10 January at the request of the Ukrainian authorities, the alliance’s spokesman Dylan White has said.

In his social network X (Twitter), he said that the meeting will be held at the level of post envoys.

He said the meeting would be held because of “recent shelling and attacks by Ukraine.”

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said earlier that Kiev had requested a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO council to discuss the massive air strikes by the Russian Armed Forces.

As The Telegraph wrote, Ukrainian air defences will not be able to cope with all Russian strikes this winter due to an insufficient number of interceptor missiles. German journalist Julian Röpke also stated that Ukraine would not be able to defeat Russia in a missile military conflict.

On 29 December, it became known that Russian army units carried out 50 group strikes and one massive strike on AFU facilities in the special operation zone during the week.
