Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the United States is wary of crumbling relations with Russia to the ground.
“Although the White House has so far been wary of crumbling whatever is left of relations to the ground, the Americans are clearly not ready to conduct dialogue in a fair manner, on the basis of mutual respect and consideration of each other’s interests,” he told RIA Novosti.
He noted that at the same time the American ruling elites deny the realities of a multipolar world and still think “in the categories of their own superiority and exclusivity.”
Earlier Lavrov said that the Russian side would take serious measures in response to the forthcoming deployment by the United States of ground-based missile systems previously banned under the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles.
