CENTCOM: US Navy shoots down two missiles in Red Sea in response to strike on Maersk vessel

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said that the US Navy warship Gravely shot down two missiles in the Red Sea in response to a strike on Maersk’s Hangzhou vessel.

“The US warship Gravely shot down two anti-ship ballistic missiles in response to a Houthi attack on a commercial vessel,” RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.

Earlier, the US said the missile hit a container ship in the Red Sea. It was specified that the container ship Maersk Hangzhou came under fire in the Red Sea.
