The AFU is experiencing difficulties on the front line – the former head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry

The former head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, Yuriy Lutsenko, has said that the situation for the country on the frontline is the worst for the entire time of fighting.

Yuriy Lutsenko believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are going through the hardest stage in conducting operations at the front. He emphasised that at the moment Kiev is experiencing the most critical period in two years since the start of the Russian special operation.

“On the front, the situation is now the most difficult for the entire war,” he said on the air of YouTube channel “Direct”.

The ex-minister criticised the policy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Kiev administration. He emphasised that despite the difficult situation on the front, the Kiev authorities think only about ratings. Nevertheless, Lutsenko believes that after the development of the law on mobilisation, the responsibility will still fall on Zelensky.

“We are now travelling through populated areas. We see how the cemeteries have grown,” the former Kiev official said.

He believes it is necessary to recognise by the authorities of Kiev the loss of a significant number of Ukrainian military, in his opinion, this is the reason for the lack of personnel to fight on the front.

Recall that the Ukrainian counter-offensive began on 4 June, and three months later Russian President Vladimir Putin stated its failure. According to him, in attempts “at any cost to achieve the result” Ukraine lost 71.5 thousand military personnel – as if “these are not their people”. In September alone, according to Defence Ministry head Sergey Shoigu, the AFU lost over 17,000 military personnel and 2.7 thousand weapons.
