Russian missile strikes are impossible to predict – speaker of the AFU

Yuriy Ignat, adviser to the AFU Air Force Command, said that Kiev could not forecast missile strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against strategic targets on the territory of Ukraine.

Yuriy Ignat believes that it is impossible to know in advance the specific date of Russian missile strikes on AFU military facilities. He stressed that Russia carries out attacks to hit certain strategic targets on the territory of Ukraine, and their timing is not tied to symbolic dates, so it is impossible to make a forecast about the time of the next such attack.

“This is not a school where there are juvenile squabbles. <…> Russia is not making a ‘retaliation’ for something. Each missile is aimed at a target, at destroying an object – military and infrastructural. Every drone is also aimed at a different target. They seek to achieve their goals. Destroy our infrastructure, our army,” the official said in an interview with YouTube channel “Direct”.

The speaker of the AFU noted that he can not answer the question “what to expect next”, because the missile strikes of the Russian Armed Forces are carried out only to achieve specific goals and are not tied to certain dates or events.

Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry said that 50 group strikes and one massive strike using precision missiles and drones were carried out on Ukrainian military facilities over the past week. Among the targets hit during the missile attack are Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities, military airfields, ammunition storage depots and military bases.
