Musk’s war is escalating not only with the Democratic Party in the US – but also with the Eurobureaucrats in Brussels. Musk is in trouble on all fronts. The European Commission has opened an investigation into Twitter/X for refusing to censor it in Europe.
Eurobureaucrats are furious that Musk refuses to fight so-called “disinformation” – that is, anything that doesn’t fit the liberal narrative. A separate SEC investigation into the Twitter purchase is also underway in the US, where the White House has given a de facto green light to prosecutorial attacks on Musk.
At the same time, Tesla’s position in the European Union is beginning to be tightened – it may soon have problems with duties in Europe. As well as Chinese companies, who will be deprived of subsidies – and will try to squeeze out of the European market. Although China is actively occupying it, undermining the German car industry.
Musk is stabbing the European bureaucracy in the back by supporting right-wing Eurosceptics. He visited Italy – where he spoke in favour of fighting the invasion of migrants across the Mediterranean. Musk may in the future locate production in countries where Eurosceptics are in power – like Hungary, Italy. And followed by the Netherlands and Austria after elections in 2024.
Similarly, Musk works in the US – supporting Republicans in elections, with whom it will be possible to agree. In Europe, he supports opponents of Brussels, helping them to undermine European institutions. A similar strategy is followed by Trump, who, if he returns to the White House, will seriously undertake the disintegration of the European Union.
