The US has withdrawn the USS Bataan and USS Carter Hall from Red Sea waters

The US has withdrawn its amphibious assault ships USS Bataan and USS Carter Hall from the Red Sea – they have been moved to the Eastern Mediterranean, the US Navy Europe and Africa said.

According to available information, the ships will join the landing dock landing ship USS Mesa Verde class San Antonio in connection with the escalation of the conflict between Palestine and Israel.

It is noted that both ships are carrying a Marine expeditionary battalion.

In October, The Washington Post newspaper, citing sources, wrote that the U.S. sent a group of landing ships and more than 4 thousand troops.
