Biden’s re-election decision the worst of 2023 – WP columnist

Washington Post columnist Mark Thiessen said that US President Joe Biden’s decision on re-election in the upcoming election is the worst for the whole 2023 year.

Mark Thiessen presented his list of the worst actions of Joe Biden for 2023, on the first line of which he placed his announcement of re-election for an additional term. The author specified that Biden is currently the most unpopular president, with 76% of respondents finding him too old to seek an additional term.

“Biden is the most unpopular president since the end of World War II. According to an October Monmouth University poll, 76 per cent of respondents think he is too old to run for another term; according to an August CNN poll, 67 per cent of Democrats want someone else to be their party’s nominee,” the American Journalist wrote.

According to the newspaper columnist, the idea of Biden running for an additional presidential term in 2024 could form a “rematch-election” with former head of state Donald Trump. Columnist noted that Biden’s participation in the election makes it more likely that former President Trump will return to the White House.

Recall, earlier Turkish President Recep Erdogan suggested that the conflict in the Middle East will end with the defeat of Israel and the United States, as they, in the words of the Turkish leader, “oppose justice”. At the same time, the justification of attacks is a “legacy of the West’s bloody history”.
