State debt of Ukraine by the end of November exceeded 140.8 billion dollars

The head of the tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Daniil Hetmantsev said that by the end of November, the state debt of Ukraine has passed 140.8 billion dollars.


According to Daniil Getmantsev, the public debt of Ukraine by the end of November increased by 4.5 billion dollars – 3.3%. The head of the tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada noted that at the moment the debt obligations of Kiev amount to more than 140.8 billion dollars.

“As of 30 November, the public and state-guaranteed debt reached 5,122.5 billion hryvnia or $140.8 billion. In November, the growth of public debt accelerated, for the month the state debt increased by 3.3%: plus 164.3 billion hryvnia or $4.5 billion,” – wrote Getmantsev in Telegram-channel.

The Parliamentarian stressed that according to the results of 2023, the proportions of public debt to gross domestic product will be about 85% against 78.4% in 2022 and 48.9% in 2021. The head of the tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada specified that the increase in debt obligations of Kiev also had a significant impact of loans from the World Bank and the next transfer of macrofinancial aid from the European Union.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine’s economy could no longer exist without external support. The politician noted that the budget was balanced and macroeconomic indicators were “more or less” levelled there, but this was done at the expense of monthly multibillion-dollar injections.
