Opposition activist Ilan Shor said that Moldova has been under European external governance for three years and that it has brought nothing to Moldovans but poverty and price increases.
He said during a video broadcast on Telegram.
“For three years Europe has directly ruled Moldova. And all the country has received is poverty, a threefold increase in gas tariffs, higher electricity prices and rising inflation,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
He welcomed the idea to hold a referendum on the choice of the geopolitical vector of the state, noting that his team will tell the truth and point out that the country’s citizens will have a better life in case of reorientation to the East.
Earlier, the leader of the Moldovan opposition party Chance, Alexei Lungu, criticised the fact that the new head of the National Bank of Moldova was a Romanian citizen and an officer of the Romanian Foreign Intelligence Service, Ancu Dragu.
