Polish hauliers tighten border blockade with Ukraine

Lublin’s customs and tax office said Polish hauliers have tightened their blockade of the border with Ukraine at the Dorohusk border crossing point, raising waiting times to a month.

“Based on the current rates of cargo transport passage, the estimated waiting time is more than a month,” RIA Novosti quoted the ministry’s statement as saying.

The agency explained that if earlier those participating in the protests allowed one car per hour and then three cars per hour to pass towards Ukraine, now they allow one lorry per three hours.

Earlier it was reported that about 3,400 trucks from Ukraine were queuing at the checkpoints blocked by Poland.
