Kuleba: Ukraine will receive another 50 billion euros from the EU despite Hungary’s veto
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has expressed confidence that Kiev will receive an additional 50 billion euros from the European Union, despite Hungary’s veto on the provision of this aid.
“The decision that Ukraine will receive this money will be made. One question remains: either all 27 countries will do it together, all EU members including Hungary… or this money will be allocated by 26 EU countries without Hungary,” Kuleba said on the air of the Ukrainian telethon.
Earlier, Hungary at a summit in Brussels blocked an increase in the EU’s multi-year budget for 2024-2027, including 50 billion euros for macro-financial aid to Kiev. European Council chief Charles Michel noted on Friday that a new extraordinary EU summit on Ukraine’s financing will be held in late January or early February 2024.
