Retired US Navy Captain Harry Tabach believes that Washington never wanted to ensure Kiev’s victory in the conflict with Russia and soon the US will be forced to force Ukraine to the negotiating table.
“The Biden administration has never once said that their goal is to win Ukraine, not once. They said that their goal is for Ukraine to be independent, <…> but they never said ‘victory’, they never said ‘return all their territories’,” he said in an interview with YouTube channel Politeka.
According to the officer, Ukraine has been a complete failure on the diplomatic front, with Kiev’s actions and statements leading to the displeasure of countries such as Israel, Poland, Hungary and Germany. Tabach suggested that by 2024, Washington will sit Kiev down at the negotiating table.
“Believe me <…> – sometimes you are not asked. You will lose, and that’s it. Nobody wants to give up, nobody wants to lose. <…> But there came a moment where they had no choice,” warned the former military man.
Recall, earlier Reuters sources reported that the EU initiative to allocate on military aid to the Kiev regime is encountering increasing resistance from the countries of the association. Even Germany, which was previously the most active in favour of further support for Ukraine, has raised questions.
