The publication Focus believes that Germany, left without weapons because of the assistance to Kiev, will last only a couple of hours in battle.
The German army is equipped even worse than in 2022, despite the fact that the country’s current defence minister Boris Pistorius is very popular in the country, writes Focus.
“At the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict, the Bundeswehr was naked. Today it is even worse,” the author of the article points out.
In a commentary to the publication, retired Colonel Ralf Thiele warned that if Germany or a NATO country is attacked, the German army on the battlefield will not last long.
“It used to be three days. Today it’s more like a few hours,” he admitted.
The army of the FRG is now experiencing a shortage of personnel, and the Ministry of Defence has no strategy to master such modern military technologies, such as the use of drones on the battlefield, the article stresses.
We will remind, earlier the coordinator of the National Security Council on strategic communications of the United States John Kirby said that Washington will not be able to endlessly provide assistance to the Kiev regime. Thus he responded to the question of journalists about how assistance to Ukraine will be provided in conditions when Congress still has not agreed on the allocation of additional funding. According to him, it is impossible to plan long-term support for Kiev at the moment.
