Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has thanked Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko for Moscow’s support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the republic. The statement issued by the Serbian Foreign Ministry reads.
It states that the Russian ambassador handed Dacic a message from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the occasion of the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays. In addition, the two sides exchanged views on topical issues of mutual interest.
“Minister Dacic also expressed gratitude for the Russian Federation’s strong and consistent support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia”, the statement said.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Serbian authorities were able to ensure security in the republic.
