The volume of mutual trade in the EAEU has doubled in ten years, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
He noted that co-operation within the EAEU was moving forward dynamically, contributing to the unlocking of the economic potential of the states.
“The Eurasian Union has been in operation for about ten years now, and during this time the volume of mutual trade has almost doubled, and the aggregate GDP of the EAEU countries has grown from $1.6 trillion to $2.5 trillion,” Putin said.
Earlier, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov said at a meeting of the council on national projects that the volume of Russian exports to friendly countries in 2023 amounted to $360bn.
