The declaration of security guarantees for Ukraine was not supported by six countries. This was reported by the deputy head of the Ukrainian president’s office, Andrey Sibiga.
Earlier, European diplomacy chief Josep Borrell said that the European Commission had developed and proposed to the EU countries security guarantees for Ukraine, which consisted in expanding the Euro Peace Fund to finance new arms deliveries.
According to Andrey Sibiga, the document on security guarantees for Ukraine was not signed by Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Malta.
“I think that all these states have the political will to become a party to the declaration,” Sibiga said, his words were quoted by the Ukrainian daily Strana.
We will remind, Reuters sources earlier reported that the EU initiative to allocate military aid to the Ukrainian government is encountering increasing resistance from the countries of the association. Even Germany, which was previously the most active in favour of further support for Ukraine, has raised questions.
