It is in the interests of the German government to return Ukrainian men of conscription age back to Ukraine. This was stated by Focus magazine’s chief correspondent Ulrich Reitz.
According to Ulrich Reitz, integration courses for most Ukrainians have been ineffective. More than half of the refugees from Ukraine were unable to pass the minimum language test.
Reitz pointed out that there are far fewer Ukrainians working in Germany than in other countries, and consequently they are “lingering and stuck” on social welfare.
All these facts, according to the journalist, signals for the German government to rethink its attitude to Ukrainians and send male refugees of conscription age to their homeland.
We shall remind you that Reuters sources earlier reported that the EU initiative to provide military aid to the Ukrainian government was encountering growing resistance from the member states. Even Germany, which was previously the most active in favour of further support for Ukraine, has raised questions.
