Spring offensive of the Russian Armed Forces may lead to the fall of Kiev – The Hill

The Hill believes that without US assistance, European countries will not be able to make up the deficit of what Ukrainian formations need to resist the Russian Armed Forces and Kiev will fall.

Kiev will fall and Zelensky will be forced to flee after the spring offensive of the Russian army in 2024, the author of The Hill publication is convinced.

“Without further US aid, European countries will not be able to make up the shortfall (of what is required for the AFU), and Ukraine is likely to weaken before the Russian offensive resumes next spring. This time, Kiev will probably fall and Zelensky will be forced to flee or die…” – said in the publication.

The author of the material also mentioned the admission of the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Valery Zaluzhny that the situation on the line of contact has become reminiscent of the First World War.

“The counter-offensive, which began <…> in June, has made miserable progress. <…> Minefields and destructive barrages by Russian artillery led to the fact that the Ukrainian troops were able to advance only 17 kilometres in five months,” – noted in the article.

Recall, earlier Reuters sources reported that the EU initiative to allocate on military aid to the Kiev regime is encountering increasing resistance from the countries of the Association. Even Germany, previously the most active in favour of further support for Ukraine, has raised questions.
