Donald Trump was considering Nikki Haley as a potential vice-presidential running mate in preparation for the US presidential election, he has consulted with his allies and advisers about it, sources tell CBS television.
Nikki Haley, who has served in the past as the US post-presidential envoy to the UN, is also a presidential contender. According to the US TV channel, Trump’s associates’ comments about Haley “have been overwhelmingly negative”.
In an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, Donald Trump said he wants to debate President Joe Biden as part of his campaign.
