British Navy reports UAV attack on ship off Indian coast

An unmanned aerial vehicle attacked a vessel off the coast of India, the UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) of the British Navy reported.

The UKMTO wrote on social network X (formerly Twitter).

“UKMTO received a report of a UAV attack on a vessel, resulting in an explosion and fire,” – stated in the message.

It is noted that the attack took place 370 kilometres southwest of the town of Veraval.

There are no casualties as a result of the incident.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said that more than 20 countries will participate in the United States-led operation to protect ships in the Red Sea from attacks by the Houthis.
