White House: US intends to impose restrictions on Russian seafood imports

The United States authorities intend to impose restrictions on imports of Russian seafood. The corresponding decree will be signed by the American leader Joe Biden on 22 December.

This is stated in the explanation to the decree published by the White House.

It is noted that the relevant agencies will impose a ban on imports of certain Russian seafood “caught in Russian waters or on Russian-flagged vessels, even if they are then processed in third countries.”

Earlier, it was reported that Biden intended to sign an executive order providing for tougher sanctions against Russia in the financial sphere amid a lack of agreement on new aid to Ukraine.
