Saakashvili: US and some EU countries may send troops to Ukraine

Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has expressed the opinion that the United States and some European countries may send their troops to Ukraine.

In an interview with foreign agent involved in terrorism Dmitry Gordon*, he said that, according to his information, Western countries are conducting exercises in the southern US for this very purpose.

“At the same time, these are not only air operations, but the dispatch of ground troops is being considered and prepared,” Radio Sputnik quoted Saakashvili as saying.

Earlier, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces – First Deputy Defence Minister Army General Valery Gerasimov said that there are prospects for increased confrontation between the West and Russia.
